EA has decided against heeding Activision's call for calm on the mudslinging front. Following Activision's publishing boss Eric Hirshberg stating that public trash talk among company executives is bad for the business of gaming, EA’s American head of communications Jeff Brown has hit back aggressively.

"Welcome to the big leagues Eric -- I know you're new in the job but someone should have told you this is an competitive industry," Brown said.

"You've got every reason to be nervous. Last year Activision had a 90 share in the shooter category. This year, Battlefield 3 is going to take you down to 60 or 70. At that rate, you’ll be out of the category in 2-3 years. If you don't believe me, go to the store and try to buy a copy of Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk."

Yeah, that's right, Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk. We're about one soundbite away from someone invoking 'yo' momma!'...

Oh stop it.. EA and Activision are simply 2 shades of the same s**te! and EA is definitely the darker shade considering how EA buys studio's that are extremely talented and loved by gamers and then forces those studio's to destroy their Franchises by making them rush their projects which make them look like the entire studio was replaced by amateur's (Bioware is a prime example).
Take a look at Dragon Age 2.. It is still buggy and awful yet Dragon Age 3 is already in the works! Dragon Age Origins was in development for around 4 years and Dragon Age 2 was only in development for roughly 2 years if even! EA treats franchise's like magazines "Get the new issue out there ASAP!"

Take a look at Activision and what they did to Call of Duty!. The 2 guys that were refused royalties (and the rest of the team if I am not mistaken) because they would not Rush into the development of the next Call of Duty!

I like how EA will take note of what Activision has to say but completely ignores the hatred that gamers get from watching some of their most beloved studio's get turned into a shadow of their former selves.

Hell it seems like the share holders are the developers with the way these 2 companies crap over their franchises.

EA stands for "Extremely Annoying" and Activision does not have a "vision" for their projects.. just dollar signs in their eyes just like EA.
In other words, what they both have in common is that they both milk their franchise's and their studio's for as much money as possible for as little as possible and It shows now more than ever..

Both companies are in the "Big Leagues".. its just the "Big League's" that they are associated with is ripping off gamers and don't even get me started on DLC because I don't think Spong allow's for their users to post book-length comments.
