Konami became an E3 press conference man last night, as it announced HD collections of the Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders series for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Hideo Kojima took the time to reveal both titles in a video presentation. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will feature high definition remakes of three titles in the Tactical Espionage Action series - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The latter has only previously seen a release on the PSP.
Kojima also announced the existence of an HD remaking of the Zone of the Enders titles, which were cult favourites on the PlayStation 2. This will also be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PS3 version of both HD Collections will have an exclusive feature which allows save games to be transferred between the console and the PSP system.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is due for a release in November. Zone of the Enders is set for a 2012 release, as is Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
