It appears that Activision could be gearing up for an official announcement of the next Call of Duty game, and all signs are pointing to the next entry in the Modern Warfare spinoff series.
Eurogamer cites "multiple sources" that suggest an incoming reveal of what is being codenamed "Project Collosus (sic)." Seems someone at Tesco (the origin of the codename) can't spell. Either way, the game looks set to stay in keeping with CoD tradition and launch on 8th November 2011. Past games in the series have released in that same release window.
Of course, Activision still hasn't announced anything about this year's Call of Duty title. The publisher is set to announce its financial results for the January - March 2011 fiscal quarter - we could hear more about the project then.
So Modern Warfare 3, then. It was inevitable. What remains to be seen, however, is who in the ruddy hell's developing the thing? Infinity Ward? Raven? Sledgehammer? Bobby Kotick himself?
