ESRB Rates Burnout Crash, Contains 'Cartoon Violence'
Top-down crash-heavy entry in the series on the way.
A new Burnout game appears to be in the works for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, featuring a top-down perspective and cartoon violence in what appears to be quite the departure from past titles.
The ESRB has described the unannounced game, titled Burnout Crash!, as a racer that focuses on causing traffic pileups. 'Cartoony' vehicles will be used to slam into other drivers at high speed intersections in order to rack up huge bills of property damage.
According to the rating, there will be all kinds of other shenanigans happening that will try to stop you from scoring big money - including "oversized airplanes, tornados, lobster monsters, and UFOs." Sounds pretty random. No doubt the game will be announced formally by EA at E3 this year, so stay tuned.
