Electronic Art's CEO John Riccitiello - a major player in Sony's entertainment business - has commented on the ongoing PlayStation Network outage in respect of its possible impact on EA's revenues.
He was asked in a Q&A following release of his company's financials for the most recent quarter, "The impact on the business from the PlayStation Network outage. Obviously this is a pretty significant situation. Any results impacted to date?"
He responded:
"In terms of the PSN outage we're hopeful that comes back online as quickly as possible. (We were) aware of that heading into the construction of the first-quarter guidance. It has a modest impact we've already factored in here in the upcoming quarter."
