Yes, a new NfS game... Need for Speed The Run sees a race between San Francisco to New York and it's out on November 15th.
The good news, we hope, is that it's "Powered by DICE's state-of-the-art Frostbite 2 engine." It's developed by Black Box, and as with Hot Pursuit and indeed Shift 2, The Run also uses the online Autolog system.
Jason DeLong, Executive Producer at EA is, of course, stoked, "We think that Need for Speed The Run is going to surprise people with its intense, thrilling story and big action feel. But the game would be nothing without hot cars and crazy-fast chases. So that is what we're delivering -- explosive racing that will have players flirting with disaster at 200-miles an hour."

with the acquisition of Firemint, it would be nice to get the RR2 team working on an iOS version of The Run! Looks like it should be a great game
