Video as Sony's and Hirai and Stringer Pledge One Month's Free PSN Gaming
Sony's Tokyo press conference this week saw Kaz Hirai and other executives bowing their heads on formal shame as they apologise for the PlayStation Network outage.

As well as apologising to users and to the industry as a whole, Hirai and CEO Sir Howard Stringer also announced a compensation plan that, according to The Telelgraph, would see the company, "swallow the cost of providing one month's free access to users to prevent its customers defecting to rival services, such as Microsoft's Xbox Live."

Hirai also stated that, "We take the security of our consumers' information very seriously and are committed to helping our consumers protect their personal data.

"I see my work as first making sure Sony can regain the trust of our users."

One month's free gaming? Good enough for you?

"One month's free access" -- with access to PSN being free already, what's Sony going to do? Pay for my broadband? Sounds like Telegraph has an ass/elbow differentiation issue.

1 month free of Plus sounds about right for them to offer. if that includes all the benifits of downloading the plus games and the ones you can play for free for a limited time it would be ok. i haven't been playing much online recently so i haven't really noticed.
