Playstation Saves, Trophies and Friends Fail to Fail
The latest update to the PlayStation Network outage is very comforting - if you avoid the fact that there is no solid news of uptime yet.

The very probably haggard Senior Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media, Patrick Seybold, reports that in terms of history, friends list and settings (yours not his) will not be affected.

And what of Trophy hunters? "trophies are intact and will be re-synched when the network is once again operational." When he says 'trophies' he means those gained in single-player games.

PS+ cloud saves are also safe.

He also mentions freebies - or 'goodwill gestures, "We are currently evaluating ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these services back online."

Do you know how long it will take the PS3 Network to be operational again?

I'm going to wait and see what they will offer as goodwill for our patience, if it's not good I'm selling my ps3 and just going to be solely xbox. What's shocking is my mate, who WAS a die hard sony fan boy and defended them to the end is now thinking of switching lol and to think if they didn't take away Linux support all would have been fine now they are losing millions xD
