The SonyRecon group, which is related to Anonymous, and is currently targeting Sony staff members in an attempt to defend PS3 hacker George Hotz has taken a Stalinist stance when confronted on the effects of PS3 owners of its DOS attacks.

Sebastian Moss over at PlayStationLifeStyle has been chased down by a figure called Takai who apparently represents SonyRecon.

In a fascinating and long-ranging interview carried out in a private room on IRC, Takai tells Seb, "The consumers in this are as one might call, collateral damage, we are very cognisant of the fact that we are not making friends nor allies among the average consumer with our attack."

He continues, "This is unfortunate as a concern should always be, will the very people we seek to support not see what it is we are trying to achieve. In this case, many don’t. There has been a lot of hate spread throughout the internet and over forums that we are being reckless and simply punishing consumers more than Sony.”
