Anarchy Reigns from Platinum and SEGA is whetting quite a few gaming appetites coming as it does from the people who brought us Bayonetta. Svend SPOnG is off to see it today, but before that Famitsu has some details.
According to the report (via Andriasang) the game plays out in a world where resources are tight and the use of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons is not unheard of and, "Terrorism has also seen an increase. Peace and safety were forever lost. Viruses spread through the seas from developing countries and lead to the formation of diseases of unknown origin."
Phew. Thankfully, "Humankind survived through the use of nano machines and the development of cybernetic organisms."
Sure, all good, dystopian, post-Apocalyptic future... what about the fighting?
Well the game begins in the city of Altanbra, an environment that apparently changes in real time: "Bridges will collapse, trailers will come crashing through, and there will even be natural disasters."
You play Jack - as we know, the guy from Mad World on the Wii... so there's lots of fighting, especially with his chainsaw, which even has a name bless it: Gator Tooth.
So, what about the fighting?

Famitsu - and Andriasang - speak of three:
Big Bull: a cyborg with a Jet Hammer.
Zero: Nano Machine besuited he's got a the twin blades Oni Maru and Juzu Maru.
Sasha: "She's a master of BPS Fighting, a combat that makes use of a new Nano Machine Suit created by BPS. Her Killer Weapon is Snow Spikes."
The game is apparently 75% complete. More soon, when Svend gets back.
