Batten down the hatches! Widespread piracy is now a reality for Sony's PlayStation 3, as illegal torrents of Killzone 3 appear all over the internet ahead of its 25th February release date. The leaked game is the European version according to
MCV, and comes in at a massive 41GB. The package includes the standard and 3D versions of the game, which is likely to be a double-blow for Sony. The PlayStation 3 has until now been relatively hacker-free.
Electronic Arts has also been suffering at the will of penniless scroungers, with
Crysis 2 making an appearance online - over a month before the game is even due to hit store shelves.
"Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news," reads a message on
CryTek's blog. "We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22nd."
You hear that? Be resilient! Stand firm! Buy the real game! And then laugh at the pirates who downloaded an unfinished version. Snicker.
