EA Isn't Bored with Star Wars: The Old Republic
The publisher of upcoming title Star Wars: The Old Republic has announced it expects to release its upcoming Bioware MMO in calendar year 2011.

Development costs of the game are significant and can be expected to hit after the close of the fiscal year 11, somewhere in the date range of March 31, 2011 and December 31, 2011, according to EA. Rumours had previously suggested that the title would release in September 2011.

EA's CEO, John Ricitiello, remained tight-lipped regarding the game's headcount, suggesting that he was “subject to NDA” with the company's partnership with Lucasarts. He did add, however, that 1 million subscribers to the upcoming MMORPG would “rings our bell, does very well for us economically," adding that “It’s our view that we can be very successful without fundamentally challenging the market leader because we think we’ll probably hit the smaller competitors harder when we get out there.”
