PSP2 is Backwardly Compatible - Can Play PS3 Titles
Ported PS3 titles according to SEGA
At this morning's unveiling of the new PSP2 (NGP), in Toyko, Sony went blow for blow with Nintendo's 3DS roll-out of third-parties.
Toshihiro Nagoshi of SEGA not only demoed Yakuza 4, he also claimed that porting the game was a rapid process. He also pointed out that porting other PS3 titles to the new device - which is due out in time for Xmas 2011 - would be possible.
Also up was recent Microsoft convert, Hideo Kojima from Konami who demoed PS3-best seller Metal Gear Solid 4. He also stated running the title jointly on the PS3 and the NGP would "come true in the near future".
Existing PSP titles will also be available for download to the new handheld.
