New Silent Hill this Autumn - New Screens Now

There's going to be a downpour

Konami has announced a release date - well, a 'release window' actually - for the newest in its psychological survival horror series Silent Hill.

Carrying the catchy subtitle of Silent Hill: Downpour, the game sees convict Murphy Pendleton paying a visit to the town with a life of its own.

Development duties have been outsourced to studio Vatra Games this time around and Konami promises with Downpour that players can explore an "expansive environment that is similarly claustrophobic and where the player is never truly alone".

Vatra has explained that it intends to offer players an experience akin to classic entries in the franchise, using free and static camera angles with Silent Hill: Downpour. Look forward to an Autumn 2011 release window and check out screens here

/ Womp womp :(I won't be a Debbie Downer but I'm still denoppaistid in Silent Hill (5): Homecoming. It was made by a different team and looked like a base imitation of the game, like what the movie offered.
