Tomb Raider Trilogy HD Dated

Guts revealed

Posted by Staff
Square Enix has put a date to the release of its Tomb Raider Trilogy HD pack, confirming that the compilation will be with us on March 25th.

The pack, which is exclusive to the PS3, will contain Anniversary, Legend and Underworld. Underworld's been on the PS3 previously, so it already has shiny HD good looks. Anniversary and Legend, however, will be making their first appearance on the console and have been tarted up in HD to mark the occasion.

Also on the disc will be a theme pack, a Lara Croft female Home avatar outfit, the 'Viking Thrall' male Home avatar outfit and a helping of 'making of' trailers for the entire series.

In other recent Tomb Raider news, remember that time Strategy Informer threatened to sue RPS over the use of Tomb Raider screenshots?

Hang about! Both Anniversary and Legend were released for Xbox 360 and PC ... so how exactly have these be "remastered for HD" as the box art claims? Is Squenos suggesting those previous releases were shoddy standard def shovelwere?

Bah! How about a proper Tomb Raider collection of all 9 games?
All were on PC, so a HD console update shouldn't be too hard...
