Video Gaming's Most Pirated 2010

Recent data compiled by the website Torrent Freak has shown that highly popular title Call of Duty: Black Ops was the most pirated title this year, totalling 4.2 million BitTorrent downloads as of December 26th.

The number of downloads exceeds that of titles suc as Mass Effect 2, Starcraft 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Each of those titles were pirated around 3-4 million times each. Website Gamasutrareported last year that Modern Warfare 2 was the most pirated game of 2009, totalling 4.1 million downloads for the year.

The data also shows that pirated downloads of software for console titles were much lower than those of PC downloads. Super Mario Galaxy 2 topped the list at 1.47m downloads to date.
