The president of developer Epic Games, Mike Capps, has confirmed that a multiplayer beta for next year's Gears of War 3 will be availble "sometime around April".
The online beta will be launched with the Epic Edition of the developer's new shooter, Bulletstorm. Capps said of the the beta:
"It's going to be early enough so it really impacts Gears development, but we want to make sure everyone has the chance to play Bulletstorm before they jump right into the beta."
He added that the beta will help assure that Gears of War 3 does not encounter the same gameplay issues that plagued its predecessor. The game is due for release in Autumn 2011 after being pushed back from its original scheduled release in April 2011?
