It’s a brilliant week for the PSP and Nintendo platforms this week in the Japanese Video Game Chart (6th - 12th December 2010, courtesy Media Create) - Monster Hunter Portable 3rd continues to sell like hotcakes, still managing to sell nearly 630,000 units in its second week. Meanwhile, key Nintendo titles are performing very well, with party games seeing an increase over last week’s sales.

10 Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood – Ubisoft (PS3) – 36,098 / NEW

Donkey Kong Country Returns sells an impressive 163,310 units in its first week, while Level-5’s collaboration with animation house Studio Ghibli has paid off with a #2 spot and over 170,000 sales. Pokemon Black and White manage to climb the charts along with Wii Party. Despite falling to #5, Mario Sports Mix sold more units in this past week than it did in the one prior.

Rounding off the chart is Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, creeping in at #10 and selling a respectable 36,098 units.
