More Catherine Details Emerge
Popular Japanese games magazine, Famitsu, has provided details on some of the action elements to expect in Atlus' upcoming title, Catherine.

The magazine carries a two-page spread that details some of the events that take place in the nightmares of Catherine's protagonist, Vincent. These are split into three parts and includes an adventure part which takes place in the game's bar, The Stray Sheep with Vincent drinking, speaking with pals and receiving e-mails.

The game's story part reveals the game's story via anime and event scenes. Players will also be able to access the nightmares-based action part of the game. This sees Vincent seeing his action-orientated nightmares every evening. He will have to flee from various fiends and creatures whilst climbing a stage that looks like a giant flight of stairs to reach the stage exit at the top.

The stairway is reminiscent to that of a Jenga board rather than those in real life. Vincent will be able to push and pull the blocks either left, right, in or out to form steps that will allow him to ascend through the levels.

The mag also shows three of the Catherine's stages entitled "Stage 3: Torture Chamber," "Stage 5 Quadrangle" and "Stage 6: Clock Tower." There are also screens of a stage clear screen for the game. Here players can see what safety bonus they receive for completion of the stage.

Be sure to continue checking SPOnG for future updates on Catherine's progress leading up to release. We'll get her number for you, honest.
