The sales figures for the latest in the Call of Duty series of games, Black Ops, has beaten its biggest competitors in the music and film industries in a slew of high key releases leading up to Christmas. The latest in the
CoD series achieved day one sales of 1.4m units and takings of £58m. This is in comparison to the release of boy band (or should that be man band?) Take That's Progress which mustered release day sales totalling 235,000 units and £2m in revenue.
Black Ops has gone on to make £80m for its publisher over last week and shifting over 2m units over a five day period. This resulted in £113m in revenue and 3.3m copies sold to date.
Take that Hogwarts and all indeed.
