Treyarch's Olin & the Xbox Live Black Ops Million Player Claim
Although publisher Activision has yet to confirm the sales numbers for yesterday's release of Callof Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch's community manager, Josh Olin was certainly happy to pop up with One Million Xbox Live gamers yesterday.

Mr Olin, asked via Twitter that almost one million players "Am I getting solid intel? Is there really almost 1,000,000 players on Xbox LIVE right now??"

Answer came there none. If his "intel" is indeed good then it bodes well for the launch.

In comparison, Modern Warfare 2 achieved sales of 1.23m within 24 hours of release in the UK alone with combined sales across that territory and North America accumulating in 4.7m units, or $310m in sales to put it in monetary terms.

If the intel wasn't 'good' however, it still makes for a clever piece of tweetage.

Anyone expect Black Ops to beat the sales records of Modern Warfare 2? Or are you just happy to see a new CoD game has been released? Feel free to post any thoughts in the comments below.

I am just happy its far better than Modern Warfare 2 in fact I would go as far to say the on-line completes well with Modern Warfare 1, and Treyarch's can churn out a nice COD, what's also nice is it isn't set in WWII era or The Middle East location!
