Renowned RPG developer Square Enix is the latest in a long line of developers to announce rocky financial results with a downturn in profits for the first half of the financial year.Earnings from its second quarter report show that sales for the company were down from 90,561 million yen from the same period last year, to 68,056 million yen. Operating income was also reduced from 13,091 million yen to 5,712 million yen.
The company has sold 8.17 million units of software over the last half year with the three major regions Japan (2.84 million units), Europe (2.71 million units) and North America (2.48 million units) contributing to the overall sales.
