Sony Senior Researcher Swipes at Kinect
A recent post on the US Playstation blog by a senior researcher at the company, Richard Marks, details the efforts of he and his colleagues in finding the limitations of the Playstation 2 accessory the Eye Toy. Sheer coincidence with the release of Kinect? Maybe.

In the post, Marks details his start at SCEA back in 1999, how he has felt as being a major part of the company and his pleasure at working on the Eye Toy. He also explains that while people enjoy the fun and physical interaction of motion control devices such as those of Sony and Microsoft, some experiences "just feel more natural when holding a tool, or a “prop.” "

One for Playstation MOVE, none for Microsoft Kinect? Any thoughts, feel free to post them down below.

Microsofts system is by far the more daring of the 2 but the price puts me off really. Move is basically wii HD so it appeals more to me as I own a wii and a PS3. Some Nintendo fanboys complain that Sony have copied wii, which they have, but I am pleased about this because it gives the same great experience with better graphics. Ultimately it comes down to the software that utilises the motion controls and the responsiveness of the controls themselves. Only time will tell.

@YourCockonmyface69 I am talking about the similarities between the wiimote and the nunchuck to sony's wand and analogue motion controls. It is a blatant copy but it works. Stop getting on your high horse. Different tech, same look. End of

@a Sure, and Microsoft "copied" EyeToy. Round and round it goes, with only Nintendo being able to stand there and say "we copied no-one". So far, Move wins for me because it doesn't have the "jitters" that the other two exhibit; When I move my arm a little to the right, Move will match that in a predictable and non-frustrating manner, and not go skittering off and drift around listlessly.

@a Yeah sometimes it does feel a little better except for bowling, boxing running volleyball ect ect ect I'm glad that I purchased kinect, wii and move, because I'm a gamer but personally I really like the kinect better I hope they get a dedicated boxing game on it. Kinect works really well I'm very impressed downside is some people have small rooms.
