Electronic Arts has signed a five-year deal with ever popular social networking site, Facebook. The deal will see users using Facebook Credits as an exclusive payment method for playing all of EA's game offerings on the website. Currently the company has
FIFA Superstars, P
et Society and
Restaurant City running on the social networking site.
Senior vice president and general manager for EA Interactive, Barry Cottle, had this to say about the deal, “Since gaming has emerged as the most popular category of applications on Facebook, the natural next step is for EA to broaden its relationship with Facebook and its 500 million users."
Seems that developers and publishers are moving in their droves to make Facebook-friendly games as the returns sound promising. Do you play many Facebook games? And if so, do you enjoy them to the same extent as titles you play on the major consoles? Any thoughts, feel free to post them down below.
