Crackdown 2 will be getting new multi-player DLC called Deluge some time in November, and also a Windows Phone 7 game tie-in called Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst.
DLC first... Deluge enables up to four players to team up and "Capture the Orb" - yes, capture the flag. Snuck into the DLC are also "several updates for Crackdown 2 affecting weapons, vehicles and more."
The Deluge Pack comes in trial and premium (paid for) versions. The former has "complete sixteen-player Capture the Orb mode as well as a single player, sample version of the Deluge co-operative mode."
The latter has "all Deluge content including the complete Deluge co-op mode, new achievements, avatar awards, as well as the sixteen-player Capture the Orb mode for 560 Microsoft Points."
Next up, the Windows Phone 7 game. Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst uses Bing Maps to "allow you to choose your home territory anywhere in the real world and defend it from an onslaught of Freaks and Cell Terrorists." It's a tower defence game.
However, it integrates with the Deluge pack by unlocking "bonuses in Deluge mode that call in support, such as rocket-equipped Agency helicopters, extra Peacekeepers, and exclusive power-ups. And it works both ways, with the Deluge pack unlocking hidden goodies in the Deluge pack.
