Capcom and Level-5 have announced a Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright crossover.
Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney will be developed for the 3DS and features both protagonists working together - and knocking heads - to try and solve the mystery of the Witch trails taking place in Labyrinth City. There's bound to be an equal amount of puzzle-solving and courtroom investigating.
Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi will be writing and leading development on the project. It's only been announced for Japan so far, but there's absolutely no reason why Capcom and Level-5 couldn't look to a Western release soon after. With Layton's mainstream popularity and Wright's cult following, to fail to release it in Europe would be nothing short of a publishing mistake.
