Vivendi Universal has just announced that they will be releasing Crash Bandicoot X/S on the Game Boy Advance. Help Crash put a stop to the evil Dr. Neo Cortex and his twisted Earth shrinking plans.
“Crash is one of the most recognized characters in the world of video games,” said Jim Wilson, president of Universal Interactive Studios. “The franchise will continue to capture audiences of the action/platform genre as well as new fans of the Game Boy Advance.”
Global sales figures reflect the marsupial’s popularity with over 20 million copies of Crash Bandicoot games already sold on the Sony PlayStation.
Crash games are favourites with younger game players as they are fun and easy to pick up. Crash Bandicoot X/S is the first time the series will appear on a portable console.
The gameplay has been modified to suit the capabilities of the Advance. The perspective has changed from a 3D into the camera to a side-scrolling one. Additionally, certain levels will be 3D chase levels, while others will feature aerial dogfights. Travel through 20 different locations such as Mayan jungles and Artic caverns.
Crash, Sonic, and Mario all on the same console? It’s a crazy world.
