Dreamcast Classic Picking Up Passengers Once Again
SEGA continues to bring the Dreamcast love to modern consoles as it will be re-releasing the game Crazy Taxi for XBLA and PSN this November.

The re-release, entitled Crazy Taxi HD will come with upscaled 720p graphics and a 16:9 true widescreen ratio together with leaderboards, trophy and achievements support. The original's Arcade and Original modes will be included as well as the crazy box mini-games from the Dreamcast version of the game.

The original game was a riot and was as arcade-like as racing games come with players racing around San Francisco to get their passengers to their destination. It will be available for download on XBLA and PSN from November 24th for 800 Microsoft Points or £6.29/€7.99.

Yes, we know it was also available on PC, PS2 and GameCube.

Now Sega knows how to make Arcade Games!! and by the looks of things could teach MS a thing or two about pricing of classic titles.

Upscaled 720p graphics, eh? Wasn't the Dreamcast version already VGA (min 640 wide)? The SPOnG dungeon used to have a DC pod with the game - too many working hours whittled away on that bugger.

Again, £6.29 is a rip-off for a decade-old game. What's 800MSP equate to in real money?

It's about £6.

Also MS takes a chunk out of that. Plus it's not like it is a rom running on an emulator I'm sure work had to be done on it plus some marketing and the like. So, for £6 I think it's fair.
