Capcom was one of the third parties throwing tonnes of support behind the Nintendo 3DS during last night's conference, with the news that the publisher has added two new titles to its handheld lineup.Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is a portable version of the multiplayer 'Mercenaries' mode that you might remember from Resident Evil 5. You will be able to hook up with friends and rivals around the world using Wi-Fi for some co-op survival play. Using the MT Framework Mobile development kit, we wonder if this will be a fully-blown edition with new features or a simple conversion.
A new
Mega Man Legends game is also in development, with Keiji Inafune revealing that strong requests for a sequel had made this project possible. No other details were revealed - we'll have to wait until the New York Comic Con for some concrete information - although the
official website for the game teases a "free running RPG" element.
These two games are the latest in a string of developments that Capcom has already announced, including
Resident Evil Revelations and
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition.
