Rumour: 3DS Set for 11 November Launch in Japan
Nintendo is set to announce the release date of its upcoming 3DS this week, but thanks to the power of German newspapers we may already know. Bild is reporting that the handheld will hit Japan on the 11th November.

The publication then goes on to state that the 3DS will launch with at least three 'confirmed' titles - Mario Kart 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle.

Apparently the portable is also set for a "probably" release in Europe next spring for €200. North American details were non-existent, and it is believed that Nintendo won't touch on the region in its upcoming press conference, either.

Kotaku notes that the information does come from a newspaper that isn't exactly known for its concrete sources, so treat this with a little pinch of salt for now. Until Nintendo comes out and confirms/non-confirms this in its press event of course.

Other rumours I've read site a Euro release first on the 19th with Japan and North America simultaneous on the 22nd. Shows how much use rumours are, eh?

I don't think Nintendo have ever released an hardware in Europe in any month other than March since the days of the GBA and probably long before.
