Wallet News: Square Enix Talks Final Fantasy XIV Online Game Cash
Renowned Japanese RPG creator Square Enix has revealed details of the in-game currency for its upcoming MMO title Final Fantasy XIV Online. Be prepared to raid your wallets.

100 Crysta in the game will cost players £1/€1 depending on which country you are based in. Crysta will be available in blocks of 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000 or 10,000. Players will only be able to have so much Crysta in their FFXIV play account at any one time.

Final Fantasy XIV Online will be released for PC on September 30th and PS3 owners can expect the title in March next year. We'll have to forgo any drinks down the pub on Fridays then as it will all be going on Crysta instead (unless someone hacks the game but there's always someone, right?)

Do you think it's fair for Square Enix to charge for in-game funds in FFXIV? Or will you be keeping your money right where it is and enjoy the offline component instead? Please direct all thoughts to the comments section down below.

So they are pre-empting the gold sellers then by doing it themselves eh? Well that's a novel idea. As long as you can still earn money by grinding, killing monsters, selling etc .. I don't see much of a problem.
