Championship Manager Not Scoring Inside the Box
Beautiful Game can't see the game returning to retail
Beautiful Game Studios head man Roy Meredith has stated that the boxed version of Championship Manager for PC is on hold. Not only that, but he "really, really couldn't say" when or if it will return.
"We were fixated on one format; a format that was in decline in boxed copies. It didn't allow us any flexibility or agility: we weren't able to look in other directions because we had this behemoth of a PC game," Meredith has stated.
Beautiful Game, which saw staff cut by owner Square Enix, is now concentrating on expanding into new markets, "I want to get stuff like Shanda [new partnership with Chinese online games giant] up and running, the iPhone property established", said Meredith.
