Warner Bros. has just confirmed that its upcoming horror FPS, F.E.A.R. 3, is delayed. The shooter was to originally hit store shelves at the end of October, in time for Hallowe'en, but now it's only been given a vague '2011' release date.No reason was given for the delay, but if we were to hazard a guess it may have something to do with the fact that the end of this year is looking absolutely packed with releases. 2009 saw many big-hitting titles delayed into Spring 2010 to avoid clashing with Activision Blizzard's
Modern Warfare 2.
Retailers, anticipating a pattern with the release of
Call of Duty: Black Ops,
Halo: Reach,
Gran Turismo 5 and Microsoft's Kinect, have listed
F.E.A.R. 3 for an April 2011 launch window. This has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. at all though.
Looking forward to
F.E.A.R. 3? A bit miffed you'll have to wait a bit longer? Think the extra time will do the game's development some good? Let us know your thoughts in the forum below.
