Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios has quelled rumours that Respawn Entertainment's presence at this year's Quakecon was anything more than the developer attending the event.
When asked about whether any greater meaning should be inferred from the attendance of former Infinity Ward execs Jason West and Frank Zampella at the Building Blockbusters panel, Howard replied:
"No, you shouldn't.
"The Respawn guys... They're doing their game and I think EA is publishing it. But we've been friends with them for a long time. Tim and I know Vince and Jason pretty well and we thought that that would make a cool panel."
