We reported earlier this week that Soul Calibur 2 and the new Ridge Racer game would not only be appearing on GameCube, but on Xbox too. But Sony has once again lured Namco into developing both of these games for PlayStation 2.
Now set for release across all major platforms, these games are not exclusive to any console. It is not known on which platform these games will be released first, but since PlayStation 2 is currently the only available platform, it would seem like the logical choice.
Sony missed out to Sega with the original Soul Calibur, one of the greatest beat-em-ups created for the last generation consoles, so the news of a PS2 version of the sequel is highly favourable for Sony.
One thing you can be sure of is that both games will be released in all territories. Dates have yet to be confirmed, but you can expect details to emerge from this year’s Tokyo Games Show in Japan, held in October.
