Now SEGA Looks at EA Online Pass System
EA Sports Online Pass - a $10 payment for owners of pre-owned games who want to play online - has generated mixed opinions among gamers. Other publishers, however, can see the point.

“It is a very clever idea and is something we are certainly taking a look at", this is the opinion of SEGA West president Mike Hayes as told to MCV.

It's unequivocal to the extent that SEGA is actually looking to use a similar system rather than "considering looking at it". It also sees SEGA joining Ubisoft in openly considering an additional payment for pre-owned online gaming.

Most of, if not all SEGA's latest games have not been worth full price. If they adopt this system with the hope they cover there losses due to mass refunds and second hand sales then they will be shocked...
