We would agree with the thought that Heavy Rain lends itself nicely to the medium of film, so it's no surprise to hear that production company Unique Features has acquired the rights to make a movie.
Unique's heads, Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, were previously executives at New Line - a studio famous for the David Fincher-directed Seven, which has often been used as an example to judge Heavy Rain's cinematics and narrative.
The duo are so eager to get started that they apparently acquired the rights before finalising a deal with Warner Brothers - using their own finances to boot. So there's some serious desire to realise the Origami Killer, right there.
If you're unfamiliar with Heavy Rain, you can read SPOnG's review here. We rather liked it, as it happens.
