Rockstar has announced that it is "working hard" to fix various issues players are having with with Red Dead Redemption - including a curious "invisibility" bug that makes various weapons - and even horses and characters - disappear from view.

Kotaku has reported that users have seen several variations of this particular glitch - involving guns, horses, characters, or a combination of several. The issue is apparently affecting both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

The studio has already released a title update for the Xbox 360 version of the game to fix system-link multiplayer issues. However, players are still chronicling their gameplay woes on various forums and community websites.

A spokesperson said, "[Rockstar is] really happy with how well Red Dead Redemption has been received by the community on both platforms so far. We're aware of the issues some people are experiencing on multiplayer and we're working hard to fix them.

"If you're having issues please email RDRSupportteam@rockstargames.com. We are also actively on the forums helping people with any questions they may have about the game. Thank you all for your support and we look forward to getting a fix out as quickly as soon as we can."
