Why can't we get nice things?

Japanese PSN Store Gets SuperGrafx Title, Battle Ace
While the European PlayStation Store doesn't get nearly as many PS1 Classics as we'd all like it to, in Japan it's a completely different story. Not only does Japan have quality PS1 games out the wazoo, but it has also thrown retro TurboGrafx (aka PC Engine) games from Hudson Soft into the mix.

Today, we can add SuperGrafx games to that ever-growing list. Battle Ace is a 1989 3D shooter that works in a similar vein to SEGA's After Burner - fly a ship around, dodge enemy fire and shoot the crap out of oncoming foes. And it's great fun - especially for ¥600 (roughly £4.15), when it hits the download store on the 21st April.

In addition to Battle Ace is a regular TurboGrafx game called Victory Run. Reminds us of a cross between Paris-Dakar Rally and OutRun, it does. That'll also go for ¥600.

Hopefully SCEE can establish a similar kind of 'Virtual Console' service for PlayStation 3 users too. With a mass of gamers crying for more PS1 content, we figure adding a few more third-party consoles for emulation couldn't hurt.

Thanks, Andriasang!
