If a Ubisoft employee's LinkedIn profile is anything to go by, the next Assassin's Creed game may be released sooner than we think. Montreal studio's 3D animator, Michael Donnell, has listed the sequel in his career history - with a release date of '2010'.Of course, we all knew a new
Assassin's Creed title was on the way, but Ubisoft would not commit to anything other than 'fiscal 2011'. Starring Ezio from
ACII, this will be a continuation of the events that take place in the last game, with the added bonus of multiplayer.
Also worth noting is the mention of
Splinter Cell Conviction in Donnell's career summary, which includes the PlayStation 3 as an intended platform. It was only last week that it
appeared on another Ubisoft employee's LinkedIn profile. Surely it can't all be a coincidence?
Naturally, since its discovery, all mentions of both a new
Assassin's Creed and a PS3
Splinter Cell Conviction have been
removed from Donnell's page. You can see an image of the details to the left, there.
While we may be a step closer to discovering a date for Ezio's next adventure, Sam Fisher's has a concrete Xbox 360 release on the 16th April. The PC version will follow close behind on the 30th April.
