SEGA's not just actively working on projects for Natal - it plans to demo one of them at E3.

Speaking in an interview with CVG, the head of SEGA's Western arm, Mike Hayes, said, "We asked our Japanese studio to create something for [Natal] which we'll show off at E3. They had a brilliant prototype up and running within six weeks. I mean a genuinely entertaining prototype you could just play."

Giving a bit more up on what SEGA has planned for both Natal and PlayStation Move, Hayes uttered that, "We'll certainly be supporting both. We have several games on both [Move] and Natal that you will see from around the end of this year and into 2011."

Discussing the interactions seen between Kate and Milo in Microsoft's initial Natal demo, Hayes said, "Those things were quite remarkable, and probably within 12 to 24 months, that's how we'll all [in the industry] be using the technology."

He reckons that the first wave of games that comes out for the two peripherals will be "fun, entertaining, easily accessible games for the whole family". Translation: 'a bit flimsy, but a laugh'.

Hayes went on to say that, "My guess is that in the next two years plus, you'll see some brilliant innovations. We're experimenting at the moment and it will take us a long time to get a fully commercially acceptable game that has that kind of application. However, we haven't seen what first party have yet. They could come in and blow us all away with their innovations."

How many games featuring the word 'party' in the title will we see for the PS3 and 360 in the first 12 months after Natal and Move launch? Answers in the comments section below...
