Bungie Makes U-Turn On Future Of Halo
Now the studio says they might revisit the series after Reach.

Will Halo: Reach be Bungie's last foray into the Master Chief universe? The studio has been consistently and, somewhat aggressively, responding; "Yes," "Yes," and "Yes" once more. We can now add a "...No?" to that list, thanks to comments from community boss Brian Jarrad.
In an interview with CVG, Jarrad made the surprising U-turn by simply entertaining the thought of a future Bungie-created Halo title. "You know, it might be premature to say we'll never ever, ever make a Halo game again. We sort of have a little special place for Halo in our hearts. But for the foreseeable future, this [Halo: Reach] is it."
Guys, we love you, but make up your collective mind. Saying you won't do anything in the future with Halo is a bit different to saying there could be a possibility. Language, eh? Who'd have it? Still, with the record-breaking number of times CVG's asked this question, we guess something had to give.

So - will we see a alternating studio developing approach, where 343 and Bungie take it in turns to produce Halo games, much as Infinity Ward and Treyarch do with CoD? That'd be fun. Not.

Probably not, Halo's done well and is coasting on the PR machine that ensures the masses will buy it. Anything else they make will have 'makers of Halo' in larger font than the title.

Don't forget Myth! They were making great games before Halo and will continue to make great games. It's just hard for people under the age of 30 to remember most of them. Do some research.

I like Bungie not Halo. Hopefully 343 will do a good job with Halo. They won't be alternating like CoD, Bungie just might come back to Halo in 5+ years to make another awesome story. Anything Bungie makes will probably be awesome since all of their games are awesome so far.
