Star Trek Online Gets Two New Races Already
Ferengi and Klingons are popular races; but they'll cost ya.
Star Trek Online is just around the corner (cor, how many games are coming out this season?), yet from launch you'll already have the ability to grab some additional content from the C-store. Two new races, to be exact.
Cryptic Points, the virtual currency used in the game, will be required to purchase either race, with the Ferengi costing 80 Cryptic Points and the popular Klingons available for 240 Points.
Each will have special abilities that can be used to help your gameplay. Ferengi will have Immunity and Acute Senses traits, while Klingons will have the Warrior and Honourable traits in addition to a choice of two more.

In a subscription based game, then it's definitely not on if this is the only way to get "extras"; if they're unlockable through reasonable game progress and this is just allowing you to unlock them early, then that's acceptable.
