The first two Yakuza games were some of SEGA's best in recent years, and yet the release of the third game (or fourth, if you count the spinoff) had been undecided for a long time. Now to make up for the year-long wait, New Zealand fans can get a special Premium Edition that contains a whole heap of bonus material.

Anyway, landing on the same day as the game's NZ release, the Yakuza 3 Premium Edition will contain several pieces of downloadable content – a survival tag battle, seven-character tournament, eight-character tag tournament and a mission called 'Haruka's Request' – a digital family tree, gameplay trailers, a 31-track soundtrack and three development diaries from Toshihiro Nagoshi.
At the moment, the Premium Edition is only available via New Zealand retailer Mighty Ape, but we've asked SEGA whether this will appear in the UK. We needs it, our precious.
