Remedy: Alan Wake Franchise is "Up to You"
No demo expected. Release due for spring.
Markus Maki, Development Director at Remedy - speaking today in a live chat - has made it clear that Alan Wake might or might not be an ongoing 'franchise'. So, not clear at all then.
While Maki certainly hopes that the game will turn into a series, he does point out "That naturally depends how much you like it, so ultimately it's up to you."
Remedy Entertainment CFO, Mika Reini, however, goes further, stating, "We've certainly planned things in a way that allows us to do more of Alan Wake in the future. We don't want to close any doors."
In other Alan Wake news, the game was "definitely" confirmed for a spring 2010 release but don't expect a demo.
