Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is a kart game starring Sonic, Beat from Jet Set Radio and Billy Hatcher among others. It is also being developed by Sumo Digital, of OutRun2 (console version) fame. These facts alone make it an exciting prospect.
Following the reveal of Banjo-Kazooie and Avatar support on the Xbox 360, SEGA has announced that the Wii version will allow players to use their Miis on the primary coloured racetracks. Here are some screenshots (to the left) that show off this nifty little feature.
If you're at all curious, Miis function exactly the same as the Xbox 360's Avatars, in so much that they use the same kind of vehicle and they share the same All-Star move. That special move in particular sees your vehicle being carried by other Miis, giving you a speed boost.
Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is hitting the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo DS early this year.
