Is Acclaim suffering at the hands of the PlayStation 2?
Development issues or seasonal slowdown?
It would appear that Acclaim is having some difficulties with its PlayStation 2 line-up for this summer, with several titles being delayed.
18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker has slipped from its original date of August 17th to sometime in October with Paris Dakar Rally and Zombie Revenge both suffering similar fates.
With regard to Zombie Revenge, an Acclaim official told us “God, I really can’t see Zombie Revenge emerging anywhere near on time. The sales department have been working to a release date of 17th of August but that just isn’t going to happen. No one here has seen any code, and we are quite concerned about the game’s immediate future. We have been told to tell people that it will surface in late September but even that seems unlikely.”
