What better way to sell a game than nude ladies parading all over your TV screen? Well that’s the first thing you see in The Saboteur, with the setting being a rather dingy burlesque club full of T&A.
Oh, and you get introduced very subtly to main character, Sean Devlin, as well through a dialogue with French Resistance member Luc at the bar nearby. Courtesy of VG247’s fifteen minute video of the opening sequence and initial gameplay, we learn that Sean has a score to settle against the Nazis, but is reluctant to join the resistance due to being Irish, or something.
He soon comes around to Luc’s way of thinking though, and you get to see the very first mission - blow up a fuel station guarded by half-drunk clerks. On the way though, Luc gets involved in a little street scrap with some Nazis. And Sean gets to throw some Nazi chap off of a lookout tower too.
Watch the whole video below, complete with zip-lining down telephone wires, climbing of buildings and big-ass fuel-assisted explosions. The Saboteur is out today, so if French liberation is your thing, find some time to pick up a copy.
