UK chartsetter, Chart-Track has posted its latest UK video game charts. Most specifically its All Formats chart. Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remains at #1.
However, it saw a "sales drop 86%" from the record breaking launch week. Frankly, given its enormous launch, this drop shouldn't shock anybody.
So, with Xmas about to happen - and grannies out in droves buying video game thingies, what's the rest of the chart look like?
Assassin’s Creed II comes in at #2 (see the review) with Chart-Track telling us, "the original went straight in at No1 back in week 46, 2007 although the sequel has outperformed the original by around 12% in terms of unit sales."
Another Top 10 debut came from #3's New Super Mario Bros. Wii; this is joined by Left 4 Dead 2 in at #7.
Outside the Top 10 "Codemasters debut at No11 with the officially licenced F1 2009, 81% on Wii / 19% on PSP. Also debuting within the Top 40 is Lucasarts' Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, at No16 over 6 formats. EA debut at No36 with The Sims 3: World Adventures, the first expansion pack for The Sims 3 and Sony's LittleBigPlanet is the last of the Top 40 new entries, in at No38 thanks to the new PSP version."
