UK Game Charts: Modern Warfare Slaughters Innocent Competition
Bundles of joy for Pure and Lego Batman

There is no surprise at the fact that Modern Warfare 2 (or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) is sitting on top of the UK's All Format video game charts for the week ending 14th November 2009.
Chart-Track - despite what Michael Pachter might think - has compiled an accurate set of figures that state that MW2 "is by far the biggest ever launch of any game, recording a staggering 1.78m units in the UK over 5 days and generating £67.4m. To put this in context, Activision’s title has now grossed almost twice as much as the entire entertainment software market last week."
In terms of platform: "The Xbox 360 version alone has sold over 1m units in its first week, making £38.5m (which on its own is more than last week’s total entertainment software market figure).
As you can see from the Top 10, aside from Infinity Ward's game there were no new entries anywhere in the that top echelon of releases.
What the hell are Pure and LEGO Batman doing in there? Easy, an Xbox 360 bundle. Will MW2 be Xmas Number 1? We'll have to wait and see.
